My wife was diagonised for MM in 1992. High Igg of 6000. She had chemo and autogloss transplant at Little Rock. Igg level came down to 2000 range. She had remained in remission since then. Regular check ups have been done. MRI, CT PET Scan, Blood.
About 7 years ago MRI showed Lymph nodes at left axillary. Biopsy could not be done as the surgeon felt that access is very difficult.
Every year MRI, Pet have shown these LYmph Nodes.
This year there were more and one had grown large and moved closer to the armpit. Surgeon did the Biopsy and the report confirmed Quote:
" Hodgin's disease of Nodular Lymphocyte predominance type "
Our oncologist has suggested chemo ABVD.
He says he has never come across any MM patient with Hodgin's Lymphoma.
Please advise the correct treatment.
Thank you,
Bharwani

Bharwani,
In my contact with MM patients over the years (just as an online support group moderator), I've seen many instances of cancers in addition to MM. SCT, in fact, increases the risk of Leukemia due to the high dose chemo given. Usually, I've observed MM as the second cancer though. People who were heavily treated for breast cancer, for example (and I've known a few with testicular cancer as the first dx). Are you on the mailing list?
I will send a note to Cheryl to see if she can get a note to Dr. Berenson about this.
