Black Bean Chili

This is something I threw together for the slow cooker (crock pot).  I don't know much about putting recipes together, but I'll tell you the ingredients, and you can give it a try.  It was good!

Ingredients:

2 cans of organic black beans
2 cans of organic diced tomatoes
1/2 chopped red onion
1 tube of meatless sausage (your favorite brand)
Chili powder
Cayenne pepper

  • Pour the canned ingredients into the slow cooker and let it get started on high.
  • Chop and brown the onions, then add them to the mixture.
  • Brown the meatless sausage, then add that to the slow cooker.
  • Season with the chili powder and cayenne to taste.
  • Stir everything well and let cook on high for about an hour.

That's all there was to it.  It was fast and free of meat products!
