RECIPE OF THE WEEK:
Easy Fruit Smoothies. With all the pills and potions we take, it’s easy
for our stomachs to get stressed and bacterially ‘out of whack'. Here’s
a delicious way to maintain your balance of good and bad bacteria, as
well as getting a good serving of fibre and vitamins:
Take two pieces of fruit, like a small banana, a kiwifruit - or a pear
and a mandarin orange - anything you like.
Peel, or scoop out the flesh and pop in a blender with a small tub of
acidophulus A,B and C culture yoghurt. Blend until smooth, and enjoy.
For those with a lactose intolerance, use 150-200mls fruit juice and
you will have to get your probiotic bacteria from a pill or powder.
Nicest with the yoghurt - have one for breakfast!
